10/10 Exceptional

We arrived at around 10pm after a very long drive. The reception was very friendly and accommodating, helping us get settled in with wifi code and showing how to use hot water etc. The room itself is somewhat spacious, has a fan over bed that works really well, and I slept like a baby. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.

Best asset.......the people
Rooms were not quite what I expected. They were comfortable, but very dated, especially the bathrooms. The staff are what made my stay so great. They were so helpful....directions, suggestions on where to go. I did not speak a lot of Spanish, but it did not matter, they helped me translate into English. Lucy at the restaraunt is a fantastic cook who introduced me to foods I've never had and made them taste delicious. The people at this hotel made me say I'd be back, if only to visit my new "family". Let me know when you finish your renovations

Quaint but outdated
Rooms are in need of renovation. Lovely staff. Lovely grounds. But very dated - lots of plugs but not well located.

Basic but pleasant hotel
Large, spacious room, 2 pools with snacks served throughout the day. No English menus and only the receptionist could speak any English - Probably not a problem for most visitors, but I don't speak a word of Spanish, so there was a lot of pointing and blank looks! There were ceiling fans, but no air-con, so the room was a little uncomfortably warm at night. No fridge, coffee or other amenities aside from the en-suite, but a pleasant enough place and reasonable value.

Great if you have a car and bring earplugs
Expedia doesn't have current contact information for this hotel. So if something should go wrong, as it did with us mistakenly booking a day earlier than we would need, there is nothing Expedia can do to remedy the situation. Leaving you, and us out of pocket at the end of the day regardless of the fact that it is not our fault that there is no updated contact information. Furthermore, while the rooms were lovely, and the hotel clean it was nowhere near central like the expedia add says. We were really quite far out from where we wanted to be. This in itself was disappointing. The pool was closed at dark, when we returned home exhausted from our day of exploring and actually looked forward to a relaxing dip. The day that we wanted to sleep in and enjoy the hotel we were awoken by loud children in the pool and someone's music turned way up. Nights were filled with a barking dog, loud voices and roosters... don't they ever sleep!? I would never go back but if you have children who want to add to the cacophony of noise, or a vehicle with which to get yourself anywhere... go for it!

Nice family stay
Very overall, a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The dogs were a bit loud at night, and the rosters woke us up early. Service was great, the room and grounds were very nice
