Nice and secluded!
Nice but had to take a boat to downtown.

Great place, just very hot rooms!
Overall the place was great. Check-in was very slow. We were the first off the ferry and the last to be helped. We were also asked to wait an additional hour plus after checkin time for a room. Then the lock on the door was broken so had an added hour for that to be fixed. The rest of the time the place was great. Plenty of options at several restaurants. 2 pool options and great view. My biggest issue was the air conditioning. The only way it goes on is with the key. In 90 degree heat and a day at the pool or beach, and restaurants outdoors, we needed to cool down. It was very hot in the room upon return and took a long time with just one vent to cool down. Several hours. I appreciate the environmental and energy concerns, but it’s just too hot to have a room w no AC during the day.

Tropical delight for families
Went for 2 days with friends. Beautiful area, the resort village is something from my childhood dreams about tropics - amazing bungalows, exotic, beautiful, essentially comfortable and yet low key, classy. Territory is great, feels natural and taken good care of. Water is marvelous. You can swim around sunset and mind it's very shallow almost up until the reef. And that's a highest tide - all the rest of time there's literally no lagoon, just wet sand. 2 pools both great. Food is a total disappointment. All of it. Even local Thai buffet is below standards and tasteless. Useless breakfast. European crowd, village resort style, kids and senior couples. The 3 of us were rather out of place. Found ourselves roaming alone after 10pm. They don't even have a pool table)) Mind that you can get anywhere only by boat. It saves the bay from tourists (along with the perpetual low tide) and you from fun. In general the atmosphere is marvelous, I could imagine retiring in a place like that to write memoirs. If the food were decent of course.

Beautiful setting, nice facilities, mediocre food.
Beautiful setting and nice facilities. Food was below average and we tried all the restaurants. Beach is often not usable due to high and low tides, but of course plenty of beach options a short boat ride away. The food so easily could have been better, especially considering the isolated nature of this resort, made good food more important than usual. Did get a great massage, one of the best ever!

Great hotel - but hard to get to town
Phi Phi Island Village was lovely. The pool area was beautiful and it was nice to have our own little bungalow. One thing I will say that we somehow missed in other reviews is that you can only get to/from the hotel by boat to the main pier (about a 30 min ride). If you'd like to get to town you have to take the resort boat which stops running at 4pm and is 200 bht per person each way or pay for a taxi boat. It would be nice if the resort boat ran later so you could get dinner in town, and/or was complimentary. We did a booze cruise one night and paid 3000 BHT ($100 USD) to get home via taxi boat which is insane expensive relatively. The later it gets the more expensive the taxi so beware. We returned around 10pm so if you're looking to enjoy the nightlife you will be paying a lot. You can also walk through the jungle to get to town which we did once and it was quite difficult (took about an hour up and down a mountain in the jungle on a narrow path). It is nice that the resort is remote (much more calm than in town), but we just wish we knew this piece of information! There is also a small village behind the resort that has some restaurants and bars with a bit of night life for another option but it is not the same as going into town. Otherwise the resort was peaceful (great for honeymoon), clean and had friendly staff. Love the live entertainment during happy hour and the spa was great too.
