Great service. I enjoyed the stay.

Mediocre yet very pricey. 5/10 rating.
Considering the price and the pictures, the hotel did not deliver on our expectations. Rooms and beds are already quite run-down. Service is mediocre, for example we had to wait for an hour for the pool bartender to come to his post even though there were already a lot of guests waiting for him at the pool bar. The staff’s English is so-so at best; which is fine, but the unhelpful attitude was a bit disappointing. The arrival, check-in and check-out processes took a long time because they seem to have only a handful of transportation cars to cater to all the guest houses, which are very far apart. For example, even though they have a strict check-out time at 11:00, it took 45 minutes for the cart to come pick up our luggage to the lobby. Room quality itself: minimalistic and run down furniture, the bed-runner was dirty with blood stains, and with stinky smell coming from both the toilet and sinks. Restaurant food quality was okay but quite pricey for Thailand. The beach is nice to look at, but the low-tide renders it impossible to swim. And the internet is wildly unstable. In general, the hotel is okay. Mediocre at best. Which is not okay for the 5-star price that is paid.

I listed Pros and Cons there are lots of both
This is a really difficult review as I am so torn. You really need to factor in what you want. I have listed pros and cons based on my experience of a couple who enjoy a bit of adventure but on this occasion were looking for the pool and cocktails experience in a hotel that we paid a lot for so had high expectations. The things they do well, they do really well but the things they don't do well they really stuff up. Some items are l listed as both a pro and a con for reasons explained. Pros - Located on the quiet side of the island so didn't have the noise and hectic part the the other side has. It's a 30 minute boat ride from the main town. Rooms are wonderful and clean and well equipped. Staff are friendly and usually helpful. Cons It's a 30 minute boat ride to the main town and the cost is 6 Euros each person each way. It is really quiet with not much to do unless you sit by the pool or beach. Diving is expensive 220 Euros per person for the day. The rooms are a long way from the beach even though we upgraded to a deluxe room. There are lots of rooms and they all look the same and they are spread over a large area. After 5 days there we still got lost every single time we tried to go anywhere so it took about 15 minutes to get to the beach. It's like a maze trying to get around. The staff are always on their phones and not paying attention to customer needs. Everything is expensive including the village nearby. Much cheaper on the other side of the islan

Poor 2.0
terrible atmosphere- AVOID this resort!
I was expecting paradise. Maybe I was too optimistic! The resort and rooms are nice but the beach and waters were disgusting. Tons of garbage wash up at low tide. To view the sunset the beach is completely littered with trash! We took out kayaks to snorkel and had to go way out to avoid the trash in the water. They advertise a morning sunrise trek but it is unmarked and overgrown. We had to turn back. Sitting by the lazy pool one morning a sewer like odor filled the air for a couple hours. We had to move to the other pool. The service was rather slow and not very attentive. For a four/five star resort I would expect much better!

The resort, the staff, the food were incredible! If it’s peace and relaxation but with the ability to anything by taking a simple boat ride, this resort is perfect!
