It was an interesting hotel but the room was too small for me. I was not comfortable.

cheap and cheerful
It's a very good deal for the price, though it's eccentric and spare. I happened to love my tiny room, dont mind a shared bathroom ( very clean) adore the neighborhood, and was mostly out and about anyway. I would certainly stay there again.

Great value for low maintenance travelers
Staff were all super nice and helpful. Shared bathroom was cleaned regularly but lack of water pressure meant waiting a long time for shower water to get hot. Room is seriously tiny but you’re doing NYC wrong if you’re spending time in hotel room for anything other than sleep. I would stay here again in future and I would recommend for people who are low maintenance and travel light. I spent a week here and at no point regretted the choice.

Poor 2.0
It’s more of a hostel stay and not a hotel

Exceptional 10.0
The cabin-like hotel room is smartly designed. I thought it might be claustrophobic but was actually very cozy. But I am not above 5'6". A taller person might not have enough leg room.

Mixed feeling
All went well, although bed was extremely uncomfortable and I didn't have any hot water in the a.m.

Hotel in the heart of West Village Manhattan
Nice location in West Village and great value. Subway trains A C E on 14th Street is close by and this location is near great restaurants. Thé frontdesk and housekeeping staff are hospitable. Bedding clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom gets cleaned pretty regularly. Hotel is close to Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment from Sex & the City as well as the TV show Friends as well as The High Line and Whitney Museum. I would stay here again.

Great value; great location.
The location of The Jane is excellent, as is the value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again. We had two good meals at the restaurant, and enjoyed an after dinner drink by the fire in the bar. Two small things could be improved. The smell of cleaning solution was a bit strong, and we could have used an extra blanket in our room, but neither of these really interfered with our enjoyment of our stay. The staff was friendly and courteous and made us feel welcome.

Poor 2.0
Very small/uncomfortable room—e.g., hot unable to sufficiently control temperature, uncomfortable bed.
