Very good value for a 2 star
The room was very spacious, but that could of been because they moved us to a family room with a walk in shower, as we are both disabled, the beds were very comfortable. We were there for 4 nights and the day before we left whoever cleaned the room decided not to make the bed or put fresh towels and more sugar in the room all they did was takeout the trash. Apart from that our stay was very good, the staff were all pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of it. The only other criticism we would have is that even though they had there own little bar they had nothing running on draft and it was all bottles with not much of a choice. But there were a couple of local pubs that were within walking distance and seemed very pleasant. Previous reviews that we had read after booking this hotel made us a bit dubious about it but we decided to try it out ourselves. There were several reviews complaining that there was no hot water in the shower, if they had left it on for a bit longer it would of warmed up, they do take a good few minutes to warm up but when it gets there it can get very hot. There were complaints about the noise but we can only put that down to the fact that this is 2 hotels being refurbished into one Hotel and there might of been work going on at the time of their stay, we had no such problem if anything it was quiet and we didn't hear much until we were out of our room.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
After the delay at reception where my booking could not be found, I was shocked to find my room to be the size of a rabbit hutch, and with damaged walls, dead spiders on the skirting board, and cobwebs around the ceiling. Given that the mattress was laid on a piece of ply wood, complete with obtruding nail, lack of comfort was hardly a surprise. Breakfast is only available for an hour in the morning, so if you have work to go to, pre prepared to set off without - perhaps this is a small mercy, who knows?
