Great stay
Great location, convenient to San Marco water taxi stop, St Marks square and a short walk to Rialto bridge. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Only problem was a lack of hot water one morning, otherwise it was a fabulous stay.

Summer at the Casanova
One of the best location in Venice. The staff is not very friendly specially the girls in the morning. Even though the accept American Express during reservation they demand you pay cash or Visa/MasterCard. They should accept any type of payment. Also, train their staffs to be more customers service oriented.

Do not stay here
The hotel was falsely advertised as having laundry service, room service and a bellhop/porter. They had none of these. Yes, they had air conditioning but it was controlled by the front desk and they turned ours off one evening without us knowing. We woke up in a pool of our own sweat. We were told later that we just had to call the front desk to have them adjust the AC for our room. Unfortunately, we were not told the number for the front desk and there was no information in our room. The only, and I mean the only, saving grace was that the hotel was in a very good central location. Finally, the bed was not level. No compensation was offered by the hotel; only that we should have know to dial 19 to have our air conditioning adjusted before we checked in.
