Not impressed - regular room with a moderate view
The hotel room was nice and we were able to see the top of the Eiffel Tower from our room. In general, the room was overpriced for what we received and the "extras" you can get were also overpriced. We were most surprised in the lack of shuttle to and from the airport - particularly for paying so much for the room. We have stayed in other high-cost hotel rooms with many more options and added benefits. I would not recommend staying in this hotel unless you want to pay even more than the cost of the hotel room for any added necessities.

Good location- not really for family stays though.
Hotel was in an ideal location- a block from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, which allowed for great sight-seeing (or hopping on a bus that was part of the sight-seeing like the Big Bus). The room was listed as a family room for 4 with 2 double beds. It was an average room with nothing memorable. View was limited to the street with a small part of the window (really small part of the window) showing you a part of the Arc itself. Apparently the rooms with the actual views are reserved for higher rent parties (seriously- the $1300 we paid for 3 nights wasn't high enough)? Also, some confusion about the breakfast occurred at our arrival- thought we booked a room with breakfast included (turns out it was listed as available, but not included, but at a steep price of 30 Euros per head, we chose to opt out). I cannot blame the hotel for this (was an overlooking on my part). We stayed in several cities in Italy, as well as London in this same trip, so lots of comparing was happening. Seeing the Marriott logo, I expected a bit more. This was 1 of 2 "chain" hotels we stayed at in this trip (the other being the London Taj Hotel), all the others being local 4-5 star rated places. I felt that of all the hotels we stayed at, this was the worst deal for the money put. Maybe that's just how Paris is in general- overpriced for what you get? Lots of business meetings took place in the courtyard while we were there. In my opinion, not a family type hotel.

Best experience in Paris ever
Great welcome, no attitude from the employees (rare in Paris), valet park, large room and modern, great bathroom, a lot of attention to the customers. Honestly my best experience so far in Paris. I used to leave in Paris so I believe I know what I talk about.

Good place to stay in Paris.
Wanted a hotel room that met American standards (not cramped European sized and with a private bath) and was close to the Arc. It met my expectations. It was expensive (and I think I got it on a cheaper weekend), but this is Paris, so everything is more expensive.

BEST VALUE FIVE-STAR HOTEL IN PARIS
Best 5 star for the price and the triple view from my private terrace (Sacre Couer, Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe) is an added bonus! Free mini-bar, free breakfast on my room's terrace... was very impressed! While it doesn't have that cozy "I'm in Paris" feel, it feels fresh, updated, modern and not a single bit of attitude from the staff. I stayed at Hyatt's Place Vendome for three times the price with no view and got nickel and dimed for every little thing I used--this hotel was a welcome refreshment.
