great stay
great stay, comfortable place. amazing location. if you are parking a car, it's a bit difficult to find their parking (coned off on a side road) but once you find it, it's safe and protected by night guards. awesome location, can't beat it!

Liked it. Wanted to love it.
I wanted to give this hotel a 5, but there were a couple of things that knocked it back. The area is wonderful, a terrific old town experience. I highly recommend going there, and I'd stay at this hotel again. The problems were that the thermostat was evidently for decoration. Europeans seem to like things a bit hotter in the rooms than we did, so the room stayed hot. When we asked at the hotel, the desk clerk said prop open a window which would have meant a noisy night and would have required putting something physically into the window three floors up to make it stay. The shower was cramped. (Whomever invented the half glass shower door needs to be flogged.) There was no way to shower without getting significant water on the bathroom floor. Overall, the employees were helpful, the room was large, if a bit quirky. The restaurant was good in the evenings, though not crowded when we were there. Go visit for yourself.

All in all a lovely hotel wonderfully located in the charming historic quarter. Two things to be aware of, however; the street on which the hotel is situated is pedestrian-only for most of the day and cars can pull up in front only until 10:00 AM when it is open to vehicles. Be prepared to roll your luggage a bit. Also, bring a book light as room illumination is quite dim.

The hotel is well situated within this historic town. It is not the easiest to find. Room was fine but noisy as doors to rooms are not insulated from activity in the hallways. As well, students seem to party most of night in the square on which the hotel is located so it can be noisy. Dining room serves excellent meals and wines.

Magical
The hotel was perfect. We had a beautiful suite looking over the town square. The restaurant was wonderful and we sat there for hours eating and drinking while watching the town get ready for one of their festivals. The whole experience was magical. One note: you can't drive to the hotel as it is in the center of the old city, so you will need to walk a 1/2 block, depending on parking.
