Welcoming Canterbury
We stayed two nights at this property. The staff was excellent, food from the restaurant was very very good, and location was perfect—just a five minute walk to the main part of town and in a quiet area. From our room we had a view of the stream and there was a nice footpath along it that made for a lovely walk. Unfortunately, our room was very small (which we’re finding is more the norm here than not) and felt like we were tripping over our suitcases the whole time. In spite of this, we would definitely stay here again. Canterbury was delightful. We found the town to be very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of shops, museums and of course the ancient cathedral. We managed to land here just in time for university graduations (in September....who knew?), so access to the Cathedral was limited. It’s a good thing we allowed two days.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, good enough room,
The room was small but adequate for a single man in his 50’s. The staff was delightfully helpful and friendly. I definitely would stay here again even tho parts of the building were really old. Breakfast was perfect! Close to everything!

What an Inn should be
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner and staff make the place. Extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful at all times. Great food, good drinks and clean comfortable rooms in a great location. Recommend.

Great stay.
Wonderful staff, nice bar, close to main sights and parking. Make sure you ask about parking when you check in - the first night we weren't told we could have reduced parking across the street and paid about 28 pounds for the first day. The only detractions were the hard bed and low water pressure in shower - everything else fantastic.

So glad we stayed here!
Great experience at The Millers Arms! I normally stay at 4 star hotels when I travel but there were no familiar hotel brands in the heart of Canterbury so I relied on the reviews of others to help make my decision and so grateful they did not disappoint. My daughter is spending a year studying in Canterbury so I planned a trip for my mom and I to visit and learn more about the city she is living in. I was a bit worried about the distance of the hotel from the heart of the city but it was really close by! A short walk even my elderly mom could handle with ease. It took only a five minutes to walk to the Cathedral . My mom and I arrived quite early due to our flight schedule and thankful they allowed us to check in early because our room was ready. Unexpected but so very appreciated! The room was small, but very clean and had everything we needed. There wasn't much room to leave luggage out and open so it was a bit of a struggle for the two us to unpack and organize but it wasn't a problem since we didn't spend much time in the room. There was plenty of hot water, and the heated floors and towel bars meant comfortable morning showers. The breakfast was fantastic! Being included in the room price makes it such a great value! You will order from the menu and it is cooked to order for you. They also have a nice table filled with cereals, fruits, juices, etc. I highly recommend the traditional English Breakfast. You will not be disappointed!
