Holiday in Sicily
Arrived after dark so we missed the hotel but soon found it after we turned round. Staff really friendly and helpful. The best way to get to via Etna the Main Street is to go left out of the hotel and then turn into via umberto which leads to via Etna. It is a bit longer but if you turn right you have a lot more roads to cross and the area is not as well lit and not such a good area to walk through. We only stayed two nights after travelling around south east Sicily before coming home. Very handy for train and coach station.

I loved this hotel. The room was small but was fine for my solo trip. I had everything I needed including a decent breakfast. It is located right by the train station and bus depot which is an added benefit.

Very central, bus station is round the corner, railway station one block away. Friendly efficient welcome. Clean comfy room, good value for 3-star prices. Catania is mostly a transport base for exploring E Sicily (Syracuse & Ragusa are the highlights), but it has enough sights of its own to fill a day here.

More than a good location.
We chose the Rigel purely based on its central location and access to coaches, trains and airport bus. It turned out to be much more than convenient. The staff were excellent, the room was very quiet and comfortable and local restaurants made our last night in Catania most enjoyable.
