An ok stay for the price.
Property was quiet and generally clean, though the chairs in the room had stains on them that were a turn off. Bedding and towels were clean but the mattress was of low quality and resulted in less than optimum rest at night. The walls are very thin so hope for respectful neighbors...something we didn’t enjoy unfortunately. The area seemed quite safe day or night, though food options are limited. The restaurant food for dinner was unremarkable and service was slow, though friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good in our opinion, so we had breakfast at the hotel each morning. We tried dinner only once, then decided there were better, less expensive options elsewhere. The staff is the real bonus here, we found them to be very friendly and helpful during our entire stay...especially the front desk. They made the stay a much better experience.

Friendly staff!
Staff is very helpful and friendly...a big asset to this hotel. Room was spacious but the walls are very thin and one can hear conversations on either side. Toilet flush system had issues and the noise was extremely loud. Breakfast was good and worth the price if booked in advance. Some of the furniture in our room was a bit tired and needs updating. We travel for a living and are very appreciative of the good service here, unfortunately the hotel itself is a bit disappointing.

Clean hotel, friendly staff
The Telford Whitehouse Hotel is adjacent to Telford United football ground on the A5 in Wellington, Shropshire. My room had a view of the back of the stand. It's a nicely-maintained hotel, with friendly staff. The complex includes a leisure centre and restaurant. My room was large with a comfortable bed and a good range of facilities including iron and ironing board and heated towel rail. Wifi is now free. Given its location on a busy road, it was very quiet and I slept well. Hungry after an afternoon exploring Ironbridge Gorge sites, we were unable to eat in the dining room because two coach parties were also in residence and were booked to eat from the time the dining room opened. We were offered a table reservation for two hours later, but the groups were still eating when we arrived to take up the booking. We rescheduled for another half hour later, but the other customers were still there, so we went elsewhere. Anticipating a similar problem at breakfast we made other arrangements, so I can't review the food.
