Fourth time ar this hotel, and it had really slipped. Elevator not working, AC not working, taped up wallpaper. It's a great neighborhood, with 3 metro lines, great shopping and restaurants. But the management needs to give the hotel a lot more attention. It's in very run down shape. Dont bother with hotel breakfast, plenty of cafes in the area with great coffee. We will stay in this neighborhood again, just not this hotel. Personnel very nice though.

It's conveniently very close to the Metro Station, with quite a few cafes and restaurants around. The Eiffel Tower is a comfortable walk away. Staff on duty was friendly. We booked a room with two twin beds but were initially given a room with a double bed. Had to talk to the receptionist who ackowledged the error and "upgraded" us to a junior suite. The room and bathroom were clean and the beds were comfortable. A shower head would have made it even better.

Poor 2.0
Worn-out, dirty, and unfriendly
Only redeeming quality was that the hotel was next to the Metro. The hotel has a nice looking lobby, but the insides is old and worn-out. There is not enough efforts to modernize. WiFi was slow, unstable, and unsecured. There was only one usable power outlet in a 3 person bedroom... The bathroom was tiny, the toilet was in the same room as the bathroom, and had poor ventilation. The toilet seat was old and disgusting... it looked worn-out and as-if someone sprayed acid on it. Rust and calcium deposits can be found throughout the bathroom and shower equipment. There were a few awkward incidents with the staff there. (Like getting a room keycard that doesn't work; or being forced to wait as their staff wanted priority over use of using their single tiny elevator.) The most disturbing was when we asked the front counter about their breakfast. The man there said to think about it and then talk to him if we wanted breakfast. So we went around the corner to see what their breakfast looked like. After seeing their unappetizing, small selection of food, we returned to the front counter within minutes. The man looked surprised for our quick return and asked if we ate anything. We told him we weren't interested in their breakfast. He suddenly became enraged and defensive. He kept blaming us for his mistake of charging each family member for breakfast. He refused to make the correction and told us to take it or leave it.

Good hotel near local transportation
I had two days to spend in Paris before going to Spain, and wanted something relatively close to either the big landmarks, or with easy access to them. This hotel fit both those categories! Upon arriving around 10AM, I was told check in wasn’t until 2:30 or later. No major issue, though having just taken an overnight flight, I was eager for a shower. If you’re looking for a place with early check in, this may be a pass. The guy behind the counter (the staff is multilingual to my knowledge, though I only spoke with two of them) told me I could store my suitcase there, no problem. I went walking around to get to know the area and eat, and then came back to check in. The deposit was way less than I was expecting! For only two nights, I paid around $5 (3.50ish in Euros), and they took a card payment just fine. The room was smaller than I was expecting, but as it was a) just me, and b) for two nights, no major issue. The bed was okay for sleeping. The a/c fan was running, but the room itself did not ‘feel’ cool. Thankfully it never got too uncomfortable. Daily breakfast is also an option (though I slept in until 2PM my first night and had to leave at 5AM the next). They do offer WiFi, though connectivity is not consistent. Major bonus of being right in front of a Metro stop, and a few stops away from the Eiffel Tower. Noise may be an issue at night; some guy decided to speak over what sounded like a megaphone at 2AM one night. Overall, not a bad experience for me!
