Great centralized location
We opted for location and price over luxury and roominess. This quaint little hotel met all of our expectations. The centrally located address in the Plaka district was perfect for walking wherever we wanted to go. We were close to the bus route and taxis stopped one block away. The staff was pleasant and very helpful, speaking sufficient English to answer all of our questions. Complimentary breakfast was very good.

fishy
I booked and paid extra over other hotels for a balcony room, to be told there were none available even though the listing shows them as all balcony rooms. When I was given my key I was led to an unmarked room, next to the security panel in a random hallway. I have the feeling it was once a storage closet that was converted to a room. Since I was near that security panel it emits a loud beap, every 14 seconds, non stop, all night. Extremely annoying, couple that with the noise of the foot traffic that was level with the room was like sleeping on the sidewalk. I decided that since I couldn't sleep I would go out and see what I could find to do, when I went to leave the desk worker scoffed and said "why are you leaving now?" mind you it was only 1am, not that it makes a difference, if I want to go out, I will. The hotel was unwilling to help, as was hotels.com.

Not ready for prime time
The rooms are eclectic. I had booked a room for one person. The reservation indicated that it would have a double bed. It didn't -- it had two single beds, and nowhere else to put my suitcase or to sit. It did have a lovely large patio with table, chairs, flower pots and an oblique view of the Acropolis. It's not the most elegant place, but it is very nicely located on a quietish street in the tourist area. The AC worked well, the breakfast was fine, the wifi was good except for one evening. The folks running the hotel did go above and beyond to help me figure out the opening hours for a site I wanted to go to. But things went wrong. In fairness, they were in the middle of renovations the five days I was there, and that may account for some of the problems. There was the evening with no hot water where I was told that I "must be more patient" after waiting the length of time I had been told it would take to fix the problem (due to a power outage). There was the evening where they forgot to turn the water back on after doing plumbing work. And then there was the morning I tried to check out and they couldn't get the credit card machine to work. It wasn't broken: the desk clerk just didn't know how to make it work. I agreed to wait the quarter hour for the next shift, by which time he'd found the machine for which he did have instructions. I am glad that I left extra time to get to the airport.

The location of this hotel is great. The room was okay. Very small bathroom. People were nice and helpful. No way to make my own tea or coffee in the room, so have to pay for everything extra. Had a small refrigerator that was useful.

A room to sleep and go.
Great location to see the sites. Very small room, only a place to put your luggage and sleep. I expected this and had no complaints. Would stay there again. They arranged a taxi for us for the next morning.
