convenient and reasonable
My mom and I recently spent one night at Hotel Atlas City in Munich on a mother/daughter trip. The area is okay and is near the train station and walkable to the city center. We felt comfortable walking around together after dark, though we may not have felt comfortable alone very late in the night. For the most part the room was clean, but the floors seemed to be dirty based on how dirty our socks got (though it's possible we tracked in some of the dirt). The beds were comfortable and wifi worked fine. I would recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a reasonable stay close to the city.

The room was fine, but the Euro shower was designed to almost guarantee water would go all over the bathroom, and it definitely did. Add more curtains or doors to the showers over there!

No A/C
We chose to stay here because in the post on Hotels.com it said the hotel had air conditioning. Upon our arrival we were extremely upset to find that the hotel did not and had not EVER had A/C. We only chose this hotel because of the A/C, and had we known we would have stayed at a cheaper place. The man at the front desk was entirely unhelpful in either finding us a room at another hotel or locating a fan for us. We ended up having to go to a department store and BUY our own fan for $20. However we were still uncomfortable in the room. The problem apparently was that Hotels.com had the amenities for Hotel Atlas City's sister hotel listed under Hotel Atlas City's profile, so we expect that to be remedied in the future. We will likely not use Hotels.com again to book as it is now our impression the descriptions of the hotels cannot be trusted.

No Air-Conditioning or Black out Curtains.
This Hotel LIES, it advertises its rooms with blackout curtains and air conditioning yet this hotel has neither. The room is extremely hot in summer, and has very thin curtains that only cover part of the window, so you wake up at sunrise in a very bright room. Also you cannot charge electronic devices when you leave the hotel room, you have to put your room key in a special adapter on the wall to get electricity working in the room. so as soon as you remove the key the electric turns off, The street outside is also very noisy when the window is open. I went to front desk to ask about the electricity turning off, they were unhelpful. I found the front desk to be very unhelpful period I asked if I could talk to a manager regarding the blackout curtains and air conditioning etc yet they said it was not possible the said he would be back in four days, what kind of hotel tells you that? I asked if I could call him or talk on the phone to the manager and they said that was not possible. The only reason I never checked out the hotel the first day was that I did not want to have to start carting my bags around and start hunting for new hotels.

Does the job, Nice staff
Atlas did the job, not big room but clean and good location and price. Ferdi was the desk and was so nice. He gave me good advice and was welcoming to make the stay better. Note: There is another Atlas around the corner my taxi driver brought me to in error. Staff there was not nice or accommodating. Be sure you are at the red faced one not blue faced one if you book this hotel. I dont recommend the blue one due to rude staff.
