The hotel has a walking distance to the city centre, close to the supermarkets, restaurants and the beach (max 20mins walk). The room is with a decent size, no tea/coffee machine in the room, nor a small table. Limited space to hang your clothes. Old mini-fridge, no complementary water. Hotel offers light meal with additional pay; no option to have your own food on the table near the pool. Kind of pricey for what is offered.

Nice hotel, Roman quarry was so-so
La Funtana was a very nice hotel. Sitting by the pool was enjoyable for a drink, breakfast, etc. The hotel is a short distance outside the city center, which was great for us as it was an easy drive to dinner places but was not in a crowded area. We went to Santa Teresa on our driving tour around Sardinia because my husband wanted to see the Roman quarry. I wasn't that impressed with the quarry. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't go to this area, but not because of the hotel. The hotel was fine. There are other things to do in the area, especially beaches.

Well Run Hotel
We had a big well furnished and quiet room with A/C, a good bed and a big bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good and the pool was the best on this trip so far. Location was a short walk to the ferries but slightly longer walk to the local beach beyond the main square (about 2.0 km). Supermarket across the street was handy. Lobby/bar area was large and tastefully decorated with interesting antique family photos. Staff were always available, friendly and helpful.

Spotless Hotel, faultless staff
Enjoyable stay at La Funtana. Staff were helpful and very polite. My request to upgrade to a room with a balcony was promptly dealt with. The hotel was very clean, towels were plentiful and bed linen sparklingly white. The pool area was pleasant with close access to the bar. La Funtana is just under 10 mins walk from the town centre but there are shops and bars along the way so is not isolated. Do not be put off by the initial impression as it is on a main, unattractive road. Only slight whinge is yet again only English tv channels were News channels., however tv not missed at all. We're here on B & B basis but didn't have breakfast which staff were very concerned about , which was nice. A great stat overall
