Near St James
Local areas grim but hotel City centre not far. Extra for parking but was secure. Never bothered with breakfast but other guests slated it. Clean and tidy and cheap as chips. Broken pool table was a let down

The grainger hotel - a palace or a hotel?
We were not expecting much from £80 a night but wow were we surprised .. The grainger hotel is possibly my favourite place on planet earth. The friendlyness of the staff is out of this world -let me give you an example of this - myself and my three closest gals came in after a night of having one or two blue lagoons absolutely starving we wondered where on earth we could find somewhere to eat! And so we asked the young gentleman at the reception desk if he could help us and oh my- he exceeded our expectations! He was on the phone ringing up takeaways and doing his best to safely deliver us all a sober kebab at 3am . More than impressed with my stay . 10/10 would absolutely recommend to a friend.

Mattress misery
Stayed one night with my elderly mother in a twin room. Her mattress was not good - overworn with springs sticking out and very uncomfortable to sleep on. We were moved to 3 different rooms each with the same problem till we ended up in the smallest room possible. Also left behind a silver ring that seems to have disappeared as apparently ono e can find it
