Castello di Monterone, Perugia
Nice and quiet accommodation
Well kept castle in Perugia. A lot of space for such a small accommodation (18 rooms). Swimming pool is small but acceptable. A lot of open space to walk around and nice view of the area. Perugia centro is 15 minutes away, a lot of nice restaurants to choose from.

A splurge worth every penny
Our stay was AMAZING, the staff is friendly and attentive. The magic of the castle sweeps you away. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner in their restaurant, I can see exactly why it was awarded a Michelin star. We stayed here as a "down day" for our 2 week stay in Italy, this stop was all about rest and relaxation and they delivered.

Just book it already!!!
The views are amazing, the breakfast buffet is great, and the restaurant serves a pretty amazing dinner menu. The rooms aren't the biggest, but it's what you would expect from a centuries old castle, and fits the charm and character of the place. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and you can easily just sit outside with a bottle of wine and enjoy your view for hours.

This hotel is very unique. Built in a castle, with stunning views. When we arrived, they upgraded our room for free! Great Service!!! We will definitely be coming back.

Go back in time!!
Authentic castle.Everything was what you'd expect for a fine hotel. Staff was extremely nice, room had stone walls and frescoes, appropriate furnishings and a huge marble bathroom. Everything was spotless. Restaurant Stella (reserve on-line, pkg. not easy) a few km away is a wonderful alternative to their restaurant (which was fine also). Perugia is a short cab ride away. If you go to the Etruscan Arch, it should be around 15 Euros. There is a bus, but they didn't know too much about it.
