Full kitchenette and free espresso!
Okay, so London is expensive. If this were in a different city I might give this hotel lower stars for the price, but since it's London this was a good stay. It's quite close to tube stations and is also an easy 10 minute walk to Hyde Park and Princess Diana's playground. Staff were professional and kind. There was a free espresso machine in reception so that was very nice for my morning coffee. The full kitchenette was also very nice in the room -- microwave, water boiler, dishes/silverware, mini-fridge, etc. There is a half wall between the bed and the sofa-bed, so not a true suite, but it was fine for my two children and my wife and I. Bathroom is small but had good hot water. Less than five minutes walk on Queensway are pubs, middle eastern food, Italian food, Tesco shopping markets, ATMs, etc, etc. Felt safe there late at night. I liked it that it wasn't in the heart of noisy, busy London traffic.

Serviceable, reasonably price.
Decent room, nothing great but close to Paddington Station and basic services. OK for the price in this location.

Clean and comfortable
This hotel is older , you can see it on carpets in the rooms. Carpet had some stains. But overall room was clean and comfortable. There is nowhere to park there, so if you are with the car, just find some parking garage nearby. The little kitchenette was very handy as well.

A great hotel in a quiet neighborhood
We had a very enjoyable stay at The Cleveland. The room was quite large and had a kitchenette that we could use along with a small table and four chairs. We got an outward facing room that had a balcony and a wall of windows. There was not much noise outside so this room was perfect. The room was a bit chilly though and not sure if this was due to the wall of windows. They did give us a space heater as well, and that helped to warm up the room some. The TV was a bit inconveniently placed on the far wall, but we didn't mind. We were there to see London after all and not watch TV. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The bathroom was a bit small though given the size of the room. The Cleveland is very conveniently located to the tube allowing easy access to all the major sights. It is also quite close to Hyde Park, which was beautiful. Many families hang out in the park sailing boats, feeding the birds (swans included), and just relaxing. It is also close to Kensington (with shopping)...just a walk through the park. Overall, I quite enjoyed my stay at The Cleveland and would stay there again.
