Nice comfy room for visit to siena nit too far frc
I had to check in after reception closed so the manager left a key and instructions at the gate for me. Beware gps often dails in accuracy. It took me nearby but in the dark there was no way to know that. Had the mgr not snswered the ohone and guided me there i never would have found it. Good to get driving directions and not just rely on gps. I was only there for one night but was comfortsble. Staff very helpful. 19am check out tho is kind if early!!!

Friendly and comfortable location
I had a terrific stay at B&B Gli Archi. The owner, Sylvia, was very helpful and friendly - she provided maps and directions to everything I needed. It is located away from the city center on the edge of a residential district with beautiful hillside views. There is a bus stop very near by that gets you into the city center or train station in about 10-15 minutes. My room was clean and comfortable - my bathroom was across the hall but most are en suite. Breakfast daily was buffet style with a good variety of choices. I would definitely recommend this for others - it is a good value for the location and room size.

There are specific hours to check in and check out. The reception was very nice, the bathroom was much larger than expected and the bed was firm. TV reception was not great, but I wasn't staying there to hang around and watch TV. I would stay here again.

Way out of town, hard to find, mostly absent staff
Gli Archi is not a "normal" hotel or Bed and Breakfast. The staff are only on premises from 8-10:30 in the morning (to provide breakfast, clean the hotel and check people out) so a late checkout or late room cleaning are apparently not available. They arrive again to check guests in from 3-6:30 pm. After that, even with a confirmed reservation you will not be accommodated. This policy for check-in is clear. But it also means that if you need them to help you call a taxi or sell you a bus ticket or need an extra towel, there isn't anyone at reception to assist you for most of the day and night. The room we had was fine but looked more charming in photos than it really seemed in person. The photos on their website do not show the neighborhood construction going on next door and across the street, but only the pretty views off in the other direction. The sign in the room said they charge extra for use of the air conditioner which we also thought odd. The hotel is also hard to find, and at least a 45 minute uphill walk to the old town of Siena. City buses stop twice an hour nearby or one can call a taxi to get into town. The breakfast was decent and the staff was very nice and helpful, when they were around

Hotel nice, far from everything and owner very rud
Coming from Perugia we arrived at the Hotel a bit late, around 8pm, the place was a little hard to find, when we got there the Reception was close but the lady owner left us a package outside the door. The room was somewhat comfortable, there were two single beds put together which made the seem in the middle uncomfortable to sleep close together with your partner. Next morning tired of the trip we woke up just before the breakfast service ended at 10,so I wanted to bring some coffee and pastries up to the room to save some time and pack our bags to leave the room on time. Unfortunately the lady owner made a big scene in front of everyone and said that it was prohibited to take it to the room so I rushed up to the room and seven minutes past the check out time she came knocking our door furiously demanding to leave the hotel immediately. Unfortunately it ruined our day with such a poor Customer Service skills. BTW the lady at the front desk was pretty nice. I would not recommend this hotel if you want a pleasant experience
