It was a great stay for the time I was there, small but comfy for a sooo traveler close to what is needed

Location, location, location.
Rooms are small, let’s get that out of the way, welcome to Europe. But they aren’t so small they are uncomfortable. Pay a little more for a canal view room, it’s worth it. The hotel is kept very clean, and is completely charming. The location is as central as you can get. Restaurant row is right around the corner. We stayed 9 days and never had an unpleasant experience with staff. Housecleaning came each day promptly. The beds were a little stiff, but we requested two extra pillows and slept soundly each night. The lobby area is comfortable and a great place to enjoy complementary coffee, tea, or fruit. I’d reccomend this place to my friends.

Great location
The location of the hotel was great. My room was quite small. A bit of a challenge to open my carryon. The toilet ran for 15 minutes after each flush. The hotel attendants were all very friendly and kind. I would go back- especially if the toilet flushed better.

comfortable with caveats
This was a pleasant stay in a pleasant hotel with very helpful staff who assisted with directions and printing boarding passes. After a chilly first night I figured out how to operate the unlabelled radiator thermostatic control and we were comfortable the rest of our stay. A room overlooking the canal was very nice. Two relatively minor negatives: The free coffee in the lobby was not in service when I tried to use it. And the carpet in our room was dirty with unsightly dark stains from puddles of whatever.

Does the job.
Friendly staff, very helpful. Super small, bare-bones room. Dirty carpet, but otherwise clean bathroom, sheets, etc. Great location. I was just in town for the weekend visiting family on my own, so it worked fine -- with great location and easy access. Rate seemed high, but everything was super inflated the weekend I stayed in Amsterdam.
