Good price for what you get
Nice hotel. Could have been a little cleaner but I felt comfortable staying there. It is right next to the NAS and American Alley.

    Love the location and staff
I have stayed at the Ramee International, probably 30 times in the past 2 years. Excellent location, always friendly and courteous staff. Any issue I have encountered has always been meet and resolved promptly by management or reception staff. Large, spacious rooms, I always purchase the suites, they are really more like an apartment. Great night life in the area. 2 minutes walking distance from dozens of western food establishments and pubs. Now time for the Negatives for a westerner— the brand is geared primarily towards the Gulf and Indian tourism market and therefore amenities such as western TV programming is lacking also But be prepared to pay for the airport shuttle, most hotels in the Juffair area provide this service for free but Ramee will charge in addition to your room bill for this service. There are several good restaurants around the area but the in house restaurant that provides the breakfast purchased in the room price leaves alot to be desired. Not a large selection of food and often times you will need to wait just to get a clean plate. I use to get the room combo with breakfast but it's just not worth it in my opinion anymore. Luckily IHOP is very near.

    Comfort and elegance
Ramee International is in a good location and taking a walk around the neighborhood showed us a glimpse of local life. There is a narrow food street just around the corner where you'll find lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is neat with some good restaurants and cafés. All the staff was courteous and helpful. Check-in and checkout was a bit slow but they have a wonderful lobby where my family was able to relax and enjoy while the reception completed the paperwork. We were given a surprise upgrade to a suite (we didn't find out until we entered the suite). It was clean with furniture in good condition. The bed was comfortable and walls were nicely decorated. Buffet breakfast was really good with a decent variety and they had an egg station as well that was operated by a soft-spoken chef who was making eggs to order. We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay and I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bahrain.

    Very Weak Four Star Hotel
I booked a Junior Suite but they upgraded me to a king suite. Had small kitchen inside it, small refrigerator but no cooking utensils, no silverware, no small coffee pot or instant coffee, and nothing in the refrigerator. One TV in the living room area which had multiple channels but one in bedroom had very few. The remote in the bedroom did not work either. The living had to small sofa's both of which were older style Indian furniture and very uncomfortable. I asked for non smoking but guess that was not possible as I could smell tobacco smoke from room next door and also all over my room in the cushions and bed spread, however the bed was comfortable and the Air conditioner was great which I was very happy to get. The food offered during select hours from the couple of restaurants was not very good and very expensive. The savior was just around the corner from hotels was quite of few restaurants such as Chili's, Nano's, McDonalds, Subway etc. The pluses from the hotel was the staff friendly and the price wasn't too bad, but would have expected much better from a four star hotel and even the swimming pool was only open certain hours and certain days. Would I stay there again....Never.
