    Charming Small Hotel - Close To Venice Train Sta.

    I really enjoyed the location, service, breakfast and general charm of this property. As a renaissance villa, creating space for bathrooms is a challenge, that was done pretty well. Great staff, charming property, close to the train station. I will be back.

    Prefect honeymoon hotel

    Ca’Nigra was located in the perfect location! Close to the water taxi and restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was great and they have a nice garden you can eat it in overlooking the canal! We would definitely stay here again!

    Go for the garden on the canal stay for the servic

    Had the single room. They said it was small and it was but I stayed in the garden the whole time which was amazing. Direct unobstructed view of the grand canal. It was awesome.

    Watch out bedbugs!!!!

    This was one of the worse hotel stays in our life. In the middle of the night we found a bedbug in our bedroom. Killed it and took a picture of it and went down to the reception. Receptionist was apologetic but refused to change our room claimed he has no other room. Once we pushed and told him wife is pregnant he finally agreed to move us. Also AC was not working (not hot enough) but once you open the windows here comes mosquitos. It was super uncomfortable to sleep in a hot room. We booked See View room but they said they didn’t have such room but not sure why they advertise it that way. Once we showed him our booking confirmation they said sorry we can’t do anything. We would never ever go to this hotel.

    Located only minutes away from the train terminal. Right on the waterfront. All the staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. Narciso was especially patient and informative and showed great concern when we asked about a nearby hospital. Narciso pointed out great restaurants around the island and best routes for the ferry. Emmanuel makes a delicious ham and cheese sandwich with a special sauce. Everyone at Ca’Nigra Lagoon Resort made us feel special and we will definitely come back. Thank you Narciso and team. Condé Nast Johansens recommended.

    The location was perfect -- right on the Grand Canal and near the train station. But during a very warm mid-October they turned off the air conditioning and the room was stifling. We could open the windows but there were no screens, and we would wake with a couple dozen new mosquito bites every morning. Their claim that A/C is shut off everywhere in Italy in October was false, as we had it in Rome the week before our stay and in Florence the week after. Pretty pricy (over 300 euros/night) for no A/C. Stay away unless hot enough to ensure A/C or cold enough that mosquitos are not breeding in the canals.

    Great Hotel and staff. Great Room on the canal. AC not working in room so opened windows. Had very cool nights but the boats run 24/7 so quite noisy when trying to sleep. Great Stay, Large Room and Bed was a 10..
