Hotel with customer relations issues
We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. Location of the hotel was magnificent but the front desk didn’t work. We checked in to the hotel on 28.4. at 10:30AM. I asked for the disabled car parking. I got answer that the hotel co-operates with parking hall and showed the way there. I asked if it was free. He just told me to drive there and bring the card to him so he can update the price to the card. Next day, when I was driving out, machine showed that I had to pay 396 NOK for the parking. When I told this to the same front desk representative, he just told me that it was his mistake and said he was sorry and just walked away. There I was with no explanation or help! I realised at our room that one of the beds was somehow obligued. Contacted front desk again and they told me that it will be taken care of but it wasn’t till the last day. We lacked also towels and when I asked for the towel, the lady at the front desk told me that she’s alone and that she can’t help me with. Clean towel basket was behind her! I also asked for the coffee, which is free for the guests 24/7. Again the very same representative lady showed me the instant coffee. When I told that I don’t like the taste of it, she stood there pointing the instant coffee. It felt embarassing first of all! Very rude. At last a front desk representative named Karim helped us. He refunded the 396 NOK and offered us a dinner. Rooms were dusty and dirty. Breakfast and dinner was amazing!

Helt Ok
The location is really great, the hotel is a short walk from lille grensen and nasjonaltheater tbane stops. We had a double bed and a couch pull out bed for our 11 year old. The room is very small (like most hotels in Oslo really), but it was clean enough. I found it hard to sleep because the room was so warm, but it was too noisy and bright out to open the windows. The curtains don't block out all the light, so if you are sensitive to that, it could be an issue. There is no minibar, or items for purchase in the room, so if you want a beer or a glass of wine, you need to bring it with you. That was a bit of an issue for us as we were there over a holiday weekend and couldn't buy any beer. The breakfast located in the restaurant next to the lobby was good with many options and came free with our room purchase. Overall, I I thought it was an ok hotel. I'm not sure that we will stay there again.

Lovely stay
The Hotel is in a great location & very central. The room had everything you needed & was clean. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast had a great selection for everyone & we were glad that we had chosen a hotel which included breakfast - coming from the UK we did find Oslo a bit on the expensive side for food & drinks. The hotel does have construction work at the minute, so if you plan to send a significant amount of time in the hotel this maybe inconvenient - but we were out all day so no issue. TV was limited with only Sky News, it would have been nice to have some more English channels - but again not a big deal, just a thought. Free WiFi was also an added bonus.

Everything was quite charming and we enjoyed it very much. The location couldn't have been any better. Very close to the Christmas Markets and shopping, restaurants. The only issue we had was the beds. We chose the twins and they were a cross between a water bed and a sleeping bag. Very uncomfortable and not supportive at all. At night they served a delicious pot of mushroom soup with delicious bread for a snack in the lobby. I just happened to chance on this when using the computer. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was super quiet. I had seen reviews saying how noisy it was but that was not the case with us. We would stay here again if we every went back to Oslo.

Clean and neat, comfortable stay
In general, the hotel was clean and neat. I booked a single room and it was everything I have expected. Everything in the room (including TV, water boiler, hair dryer) are in perfect working condition. Even though I find the bed a bit narrow, I figured it was the normal size for a single bed in most of the hotels in Norway. The location of the hotel was good, it is within walking distance to the main shopping area and a lot of nearby restaurants. It is also close to many public transportation. Breakfast was up to standard as well, but I would appreciate it more if the cafe for breakfast is bigger, so not many guests have to wait at the door for other guests to finish first.

The room amenities were great, especially a kettle and mini-fridge were very useful. Complimentary tea/coffee were also available at the lounge. The furnishing/layout of the room and bathroom was practical and easy to organize things. The room was very spacious for one person (maybe I was lucky) so I could do some yoga. There was some kind of noise from ventilation or pipe (?) during the night, not sure what that was, but apart from that, my room was very quiet, considering the hotel is in the sentrum. The hotel has unique history, I read a book that was in the room. Great breakfast, great people. Takk.

Our room was quite large, but designed to really only sleep two people. It also had a sitting area with a plush chair and a love seat, as well as a desk with a firm but comfortable desk chair- so there was seating for more than four people (if beds were used for seating). The bathroom was also quite large, wirh *separate* tub and shower. Also be aware that the bathroom is up two steps. Not a problem for us, but may be for others. Generally a neat, clean room with more than enough space for two people, and able to sleep 4 with the addition of two twin beds.

One of the best hotels on this trip
Our visit was great, location was very good, just a block away from Karl Johan Gate and about 4 blocks from the city hall, 5 from the harbor front. About a 10 min walk from the National Theater train station. We had stayed in 7 hotels prior to Bondeheim in Sweden, Denmark & Norway and the Bondeheim ranks equal or superior to the best of these. I would stay here again if staying in Oslo. Enjoyed the sensible design & style and quiet air-conditioned room. The only improvements I can suggest is a few more places to stash things, 2 not 1 fold-able luggage stand, & a hair dryer.

The hotel was fine. They were going through renovations to the cafe while I was there, so breakfast was served in the basement. It was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. First, I had to wait in line 25 minutes just to get food, which they were unable to keep stocked despite their best efforts, then I had to take the food to go because the dining room could not accommodate all of the guests. I didn’t even bother with breakfast the next morning. I am sure this will not be a problem once the cafe re-opens, but it very much affected my stay. Also, the bed had some kind of lean to it that didn’t seem worth complaining about, but was uncomfortable. The staff was all very nice, the room a good size, though beware, the tram runs nearby and can be loud at times. The location of the hotel is also very convenient.

A short stay in Oslo
A four night stay in Oslo, the hotel was well situated. easy to get to from the train station after an easy transfer from the airport. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely room with everything we needed plus extra free tea. coffee in the lobby and soup available after 9pm at night to welcome you back after a busy day of sightseeing and or shopping. Good selection of food at breakfast and although we didn't try any the cakes that the café sold they looked very good. A walk down the road and we found the quay, had a lovely trip on the ferry over to visit some museums, if your aim is a lot of sightseeing the Oslo City Card is a must.
