Overall great hotel
Lovely new hotel. Very near metro; only drawback, if returning in the evening, the walk from the metro to the hotel could be lit better as you walk through gravel parking area which isn’t the best in the dark. We ordered a taxi at reception for early morning to the airport but unfortunately there appeared to be no booking and took some time for a replacement to arrive, thankfully the airport queues were minimal. The bar staff were excellent at the rooftop bar, nice pool area. Check-in/Check-out staff were matter of fact, no real niceties such as ‘did you enjoy your stay’ etc. Facilities in the room were not replaced on a couple occasions and had to call reception for replacements but all dealt with swiftly. Hopefully with time, more amenities will be built in the area.

Disappointing room location
Lovely hotel, new and clean. Room design is practical. Not too far away from nice restaurants and attractions. However, the hotel has a ground floor rooms, just behind the reception. We were given a room in this section, not considering our request for a higher floor room ( I have anxiety when staying on a low floor in a highly building due to PTSD). They promised to look at it and change us for our second night, which they never did. This section of the hotel is also inconvenient because you have to go through the lounge to get to the lift, every time you want to go to the pool or gym, walking in your robe amongst people leaving and arriving. Although the room was nice, the location of it made it feel second class and unpleasant. The staff are obviously new and not very knowledgeable . We were asked to pay for the room , which was prepaid, on our arrival and our check out and we had to argue and provide proof of payment, which is not an issue but is annoying. The room service and the cleaning services were great. Charging €15 a day for parking when there is plenty of free street parking is outrageous

Excellent, new hotel in Porto's Lapa district, a short walk from Lapa metro stop and a 15/20 min stroll into central town. Perfect rooftop pool and food and drink options. rooms were comfortable and spacious and well designed, as was the bar and lobby areas. minor points for improvement: pillows could have done with a little more support to our taste. the pool will at some point need a booking system for loungers, we did not have any problem getting 2 but others did while we were there.

What a fabulous hotel to have as a base in a fantastic city like Porto. The service is the best i have ever experienced, and although it's not right in the city centre, it makes up for it in every other way.
