Great!!!!
Came in town for a Gamecocks game this last weekend. Excellent location (Safe part of Colmbia SC), and this hotel was extremely clean and very nice! The hotel check in staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, this stay was very nice.

Great hotel room design
The hotel itself was new and modern. We really liked the functionality of the room and will look for Springhill Suites in the future. My only beef was that one of us had to lie on the side of the bed close to the air vents and it was cold having the air blow directly on me.

Dogs, Decaf, and Dirty Doors
One of the front desk staff members was extremely unpleasant and rude, for no apparent reason. She was not just unfriendly to me, but I witnessed her having a bad attitude with other guests and staff as well. There are dogs staying at this hotel and they will bark, just a heads up to people who aren't thrilled about barking dogs in your hotel. Two of the much friendlier staff members (I think 1 was the manager) kindly and promptly helped moved us to a different room when we requested to be farther from a barking dog. We really appreciated them! Unfortunately, that room was not very clean. There was a nasty, greasy face-print (!!!) on the frosted glass bathroom door and some of the frost was wiped/worn away, so one could see into the shower from outside the room. There were also what appeared to be pet hairs on the furniture and, though the bedding appeared to be clean, the pillows smelled like either body odor or pet odor. On the bright side, the breakfast had a good selection! I would have just liked the option to have a different kind of coffee other than "bold" or "decaf" (such as light roast). I would recommend giving at least 2 regular coffees per room because not many weary travelers drink decaf and if they really want decaf, it's available in the lobby. Our room only had 2 decafs. I had high hopes for this hotel because it had such great reviews for cleanliness, but we were overall not that impressed.
