Lovely eco resort away from the busier streets. If you want to go elsewhere to eat, shop or spa, you will need to call a Grab which are plentiful and inexpensive. This is a family friendly resort with lots of small children running around. That’s great if that’s what you’re looking for, but may be a bit much if you’re looking for quiet.

We stayed for two nights in one of the tree house studios and enjoyed our stay. If you want to stay at the resort for a day, the pool area is stunning. To get to the surrounding sight seeing spots is quite easy too. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Dining options in the villages close by are endless and very international.

It’s a wonderful place, but we thought the room would be more private. We could hear the snoring in the room besides us. We also didn’t have hot water in the shower so… it’s an expensive place for Bali standards, so we expected more. The staff was great, though!

Great experience at Grun, great location!! Few minutes away from uluwatu, and in a quiet zone. the people was super nice. The place is brand new, with good vibes. We enjoyed the music at the breakfast restaurant, with all the bali vibes. (They should also put this type of music at the pool). The pool area is fantastic. Sunset here is a must! Food is good, but not superb.

The resort is truly exceptional, boasting a stunning swimming pool area complemented by top-notch service. The Grün Resort Uluwatu is an incredible place to stay in, exclusive and with very good taste. The bungalows/villas are beautiful and huge and make you feel at home, the staff nice and professional. The view from the pool unforgettable. The breakfast was a bit too frugal and too western-orientated (and not really tasty due as it´s not very natural to create poached eggs and granola plates in Indonesia). It also seems they are building quite a lot of new homes which may affect the existing balance and quiet.

I would definitely stay again at Grun as the hotel and amenities are great, but there are some lessons to be learned in customer service. I booked an in-room massage, the masseuse was 30 minutes late and no one notified me of the delay. This was very frustrating as I had plans later, and with it being my last day in Uluwatu I felt like I was wasting away time. It would have been ideal if the front desk notified me of the delay, considering as they were transporting the masueus around the resort and would have been aware of the delay. Nothing was offered by the hotel by way of apology. Secondly, we were given a voucher for 2 free drinks at La Cima and were not allowed to claim this upon checking out. The coupon did not state that there were any terms preventing us from doing this. In my experience, you should always part ways with your guests on a positive note and not granting this was very disappointing and left a very bad impression for the rest of my onward journey. Breakfast was good but the one meal I had at La cima was the worst nasi campur I ate in Bali. However, I think Grun have nailed it with the overall experience. I really enjoyed the complimentary yoga and shuttle into Uluwatu. It’s a shame that there were a couple of things have put a dampener on my overall stay.
