Hotel Maryelen, Rome
During my 3 night stays on end of Dec 15, the tv did not work for 1 night. Then on the second night after i complaint, they fix it up, howecer it can not be turned off. I could not set the temp of the heater. On the second night, the hot water in the shower did not work, thank God it worked on the morning. The room was cleaned up everyday, however the bed cover not too smell fresh. The good thing of this hotel is location. Near the Rome Termini, the train station and some tourist objects like Basilica St Maria M, colosseum. You can find also some restaurants nearby.

the worst experience I've had while traveling
the accommodations were terrible, and their advertising is at the very least misleading. I was charged twice for the tax, the bed was hard as a rock and there were springs coming through from the mattress. So I did not get any rest the entire six days I was there. The TV is only an Italian and had only three stations. No access to the other stations. There is no phone, and consequently no way to receive or make calls. Or even to know that I had a visitor. I would not recommend this hotel, in fact I have mentioned to a number of people do not go to this hotel.

Loving the Rome life!!
Our host was wonderful and spoke English. Some of the time the lift was not working and had to climb stairs. Not recommended for physically challenged individuals. Location was fantastic!! Termini Station 3 blocks from hotel making it ideal for trains, metro and Leonardo express to and from the airport. Room was VERY CLEAN! Will stay again when visiting Rome.

Great Choice
The hotel room and facility is very clean. There are elevator and stairs. The elevator is relatively small in American standard; it fits three people but it's the norm in Rome. The stairs are very wide. I feel very safe in the hotel. After certain hour in the evening, people can only enter by ringing the bell. Before we leave each day, we leave the key to the receptionist which is a good idea because there are many pickpockets in Rome. The hotel have a secured, locked area that locks our luggage for those who need to check their luggage. They provide breakfasts each morning. Breakfast includes orange juice, coffee, ham, cheese, croissant, and others (that I don't remember). On the morning that we have to leave early, they gave us two croissants which is extremely nice of them. The hotel is run my a family. Everyone of them, especially the mother, is very friendly and helpful. I feel very welcomed there. Location of this hotel is great. It's within a very short walking distance to the Rome Termini station where we take the metro, bus, high-speed-train, and the Leonardo Express (direct train to/from the airport). There are many restaurants and a couple of pharmacies in the block. The hotel is also within walking distance to many tourist sites in Rome.

convenient, clean and welcoming
Very convenient for the station-a 5 minute walk away. Also close to many restaurants and the bus tour starts. Staff all very helpful. Good breakfast. My bathroom was a little cramped, but other rooms may be different. I spent 2 overnight stays recently whilst travelling through Rome as a single traveller.
