Not the best stay
Was very embarrassed when at check in I was told I had no reservation when I had the confirmation on my phone and showed this to them. Don’t know if I got a bad room because of this but curtains didn’t close properly or stop the light coming in and I couldn’t use the air conditioning as the unit was leaking water all over the floor and dripped all night. Wasn’t the most comfortable night after 10 hours of train travel. Also, please empty ash trays especially after it’s been raining as it isn’t a pleasant smell when you sit down to eat/drink next to a full ashtray.

Boutique Hotel near Main train station
Small boutique hotel near the Dresden train station (on the residential side of the tracks rather than the downtown side). Some difficulty in communication as their English and our German were not up to par. What's labeled as the main door is actually the night entrance. They could not understand our request for the WiFi password. And what we thought was a requested to leave the key at the hotel (at check-in and in room directions), was actually intended to say that the room key also works as the night entrance key. NIce breakfast. Very small shower.

The hotel is across the street from train station. Room is very clean. Breakfast is very simple ,cost 9 euro. In the evening , the staff does not speak English, it’s difficult if you you want to ask some questions. But overall , it’s a nice hotel .

Very Nice Hotel in Historic Home with up-to-date amenities. Great breakfast spread (costs extra but worth it). Close to Bahnhof, a 20 minute walk to the Alt Stadt, 15 minute walk to the University. Very clean and comfortable.

Convenient
We chose this hotel for its proximity to both the central train station and the rental car office. These both turned out to be even closer than we thought making those practical aspects very easy. We also discovered we could easily walk into the centre of Dresden and do some sightseeing. The hotel was an old house which actually survived the bombing of Dresden, one of the very few buildings that did. Our room was large and comfortable and the staff are welcoming and helpful. It has the feel of a family run place. The dining room menu featured local specialities and we enjoyed our meal there. The buffet breakfast was also good.
