A stretched 3 star
I stayed here during a business trip. But the hotel was at stretched 3 star. First the elevator is small and not very clean. Then when you get to the room, it was nice but the bathroom needed proper renovation as the fixtures and fittings were old. For a night it can be bearable but definitely would go somewhere else for more comfort next time.

President Hotel convenient
Hotel was OK, friendly staff and helpfull. Temperature in the rooms and hallways was very high , room was 26 C. and only opening a window would cool it down to 25 C. Restaurant was not really cozy, verry business like. Food could be cooked better.

Don't pull the chain
On my first morning, I went into take a shower. Thinking the chain operated a vent, I pulled it. Nothing happened, until the phone rang and the desk clerk said "You ok? Don't pull the chain?

Poor location, unbelievably poor facilities - not impressed
Hotel location is not convenient if you don't have a car - but is close to the motorway if you do. The Hotel Bar did not open at all during our 6 day stay. The Bar in the Restaurant was open but only when the Restaurant was open which was for 2 hours at lunchtime and 4 hours in the evening, however it was not open at all on Sunday. We had 2 rooms, one had a safe in it, the other did not. When the reception was contacted about this they said we could share the safe!!! The breakfast was awful and nothing was ever replenished when empty. We asked for a coffee during the afternoon in the lobby and were told that this was not possible. The mini bar was not well stocked and once you had anything out of it - the items were not replaced. On check-out the reception asked if we had had any extras e.g. mini bar, telephone calls, internet access.

Good, but not quite all there!
The hotel is modern and imposing, easy to reach, and well built. The rooms are large and well-equipped (king sized beds, several phones, cable TV, and controllable air conditioning.) Service was excellent both at reception and in the room. The hotel is more oriented towards business trips and conferences, and this led to the only difficulty we had - the restaurant was closed over the holiday period, which we only found out on arrival. In a small town with limited alternatives, this could have been a real problem. Correggio is a nice quiet town with nothing particular to distinguish it touristically, but a good place to be based if you are visiting the Parma / Modena / Bologna area.
