Brussels Adventure
Great little hotel for an adventure. If you're looking for large rooms and expensive amenities this hotel might not be for you but if you want an adventure and enjoyable stay and something different this is a great choice. Rooms were small but adequate. Manager and owner was very nice and helpful. Only stayed one night but enjoyed it.

Need wifi in ur room? Then this is NOT the place.
I picked this hotel for its location, free wifi everywhere in the hotel, and free breakfast. But, everything except location made this hotel the worst one I've ever stayed and here is why. First, when I tried to check in, the usher got confused so he thought I made two reservations for the same day. I mean it scared me if i paid twice. It soon turned out that it wasn't, but that was NOT something a professional would have made. When I made my move to my room, the room was not cleaned. The bed was not made, and there was panties underneath the bed. Then he gave me a key for another room which was clean, yet too far from the front desk that wifi barely worked. When I asked the usher about the wifi, he's like "u can come down here for your wifi." without even looking at me. Well, if you said there r wifi available everywhere in the hotel, shouldn't it work everywhere in the hotel? Not asking customers to look for the spot to use it? And I liked the place but hated at the same time. It's good that is close to Grand Place, yet it gets VERY noisy over night. Ppl would scream all night. Lastly, it said it has this continental breakfast, but when I went there, there were two pieces of bread and a cup of orange juice. and THAT WAS IT. I'd rather stay at a hostel or at better place even if I have to pay more. This was the worst place i've ever stayed.

dont ask for a wakeup call
booked in advance for a Monday evening and then for a Saturday evening stay. I requested a wakeup call on my first morning at 6.15am. they called and I answered. they told me the time was 8.00 am and I didn't wake up the first time I was called. I had to be at the airport to meet someone at 8.45am. they told me it wasn't their fault. I got dressed and I got downstairs. there was a new manager on duty as compared to the person I spoke to with my request. I asked if they usually let the phone ring until someone answered. they said absolutely. they wouldn't just hang up. also its a small hotel and it would have taken them seconds to walk up to my room and knock. thankfully there was a cab stand right there and I had enough euros. i doubt they have an automated system. I kept my Saturday reservation because it was too hard to change or cancel. I set my phone and computers alarm this time. I did get a call but 30 minutes late. cool rooms, great location but bring an alarm!

Fab location with amazing decor
Fabulous location 1/2 block to the grand place/grote markt/main square; However, elevator does not access split levels so lots of luggage would be hard. Decor was a-MA-zing! Moorish and classical architecture and antiques (a bit eccentric)
