Nice quiet place.
We had a nice stay at this hotel. The breakfast was nice and the staff was awesome. The location is not too far from the main sights but still a long walk. I recommend staying at this hotel if you want to stay away from the crowds and have a nice quiet night sleep.

Best BnB in Venice!
We loved Alloggi Barbaria. The hosts were friendly and we loved eating breakfast on the terrace. Fausto was very accommodating and even picked up stamps for us while he was out. The room was spacious and clean. We loved that the hotel was located in a residential area, off the beaten path but only a 15 minute walk to all of the sights. There is a grocery store nearby as well as a vaporetto stop, so it made our stay in Venice easy and convenient. We will definitely stay at Alloggi Barbaria the next time we are in Venice. Grazie!!

Better to avoid!
Before our arrival we received an e-mail with great directions and a map. We were greeted by a nice lady who allowed us early check in. This was the positive part of our stay. Having just arrived from the USA, we wanted to sleep in our first morning. The nice lady knocked on my door waking me up because breakfast was ready. I went back to sleep to have her husband knock again an hour later telling me that we needed to leave the room so it could be cleaned. WHAT!?!?! He insisted that his wife told me the day before and was argumentative.Because we were not ready to leave, we just took clean towels. Breakfast (next day) constisted of something wrapped in plastic (cake) and instant coffee. So glad I tried to sleep through this the day before. When I asked for 2 pillows, having shown the man 2 that looked like a garbage truck had run over them (flat) he insisted there was an extra one in the wardrobe, also flat. I ended up getting 2 nice ones after insisting. There are just a few rooms that surround the larger breakfast area which can be noisy early in the morning. There is no elevator. The wi-fi worked fine. I travel a lot and will say with confidence there are better places to stay without being hasseled by the owners and given a better breakfast as I had read in reviews by other travelers. Avoid this place.
