    What a toilet!
This hotel is centrally located in Aix-en-Provence, near the Rotonde Fountain, which was non-functional due to construction. Shall I start with the toilet? It sounded like it was having a long bad day. If only I could upload the video. The staff was a mix bag. I think it’s always important to greet guest as they come and go. They also didn’t provide us with accurate info for Rotonde Parking, which is simply under a shopping complex. Common areas were decorated nicely enough. We got a basic room. No view. They need more outlets by nightstand. Had to unplug the lamp. There are better rooms. Some overlook the street. The cafes are out there. I’m sure it can get pretty loud.

Hotel de France FAILURE - NO Air Condition!!!!
NO AIR CONDITIONING FOR 7 NIGHTS. Staff kept saying they were going to fix it, but it was NOT FIXED. Room never got below 78 degrees!! We could not keep window open at night due to the noise from the street below.

Hotel OK, tho not sure I'd return
Hotel a bit hard to find, staff not overly warm, and reception area pretty downscale. There is also NO parking nor pull-up area for dropping off luggage without blocking the street. (We watched other guests checking in get heckled for that.) That all made me bit apprehensive. We were surprised to find the room surprisingly clean & adequate (tho with cheap furnishings), and the neighborhood so vibrant. Weekend farmer's market is steps outside the front door. Sadly, we had just been robbed (in another town the night before), but this hotel is smack in the center of Aix-en-Pr so shopping was convenient for replacement clothing, chargers, toiletries, luggage, etc. The Apple store was less than 2 blocks away.
