comfortable bed
This was a nice hotel. They gave us a free upgrade to the larger room. We didn't have the breakfast because it was 9.50€ & didn't look like there was enough selection to warrant the price. The bed was comfortable, room was clean, shower was nice.

French Charm in idealic location!
return trip after 15 years! hotel still best buy in Beaulier Sur Mer Was lacking in bathroom amenities fot 4 star rated property. Some staff could have been more helpful with directions and saved us alot of time searching for buses, etc. Suggestion; when customers book hotels in key torist destinations would be helpful to know, in advance what events were taking place. We were unaware that major antique car show was just minutes away from Hotel Carlton, and founf out late from traveling stranger.

20 mins away from Monaco/Monte Carlo Casino
It was a great hotel. Clean, close by to the pharmacy, Monaco, the beach, and bus stop. Don't take a taxi from the Monaco train station because it costed us 50 Euros for a 20 min drive. Overall the hotel was in a good, safe area and the front desk were very kind and helpful with directions and bus information. I believe the bus was the 100 and you get off near the Royal Riveria Hotel and it is about a 10 min walk to the hotel.

4 star flattered
Hotel very overpriced & flattered by its 4 star rating. Great pool only positive. Upon leaving hotel lots of hidden extras to pay for that we knew nothing about eg €40 a night for a CAMP bed. Ageing decor throughout. Very disappointing considering the money paid. Some Staff very rude and unhelpful.

We will come back ,just not this room...
Second time we have stayed at the Carlton. You certainly can not fault the location and the staff - it is minutes from the beach, bus stops, and the train station, and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. If I had one criticism, its the size of the room we were in this time, and particularly the layout of the bathroom. It can be the norm for room sizes to be small in French hotels (we have stayed in many), but this particular one was very small for the price - my wife and I were constantly tripping over each other. The bathroom is small, and the positioning of the lavatory was ridiculous...you basically had to "slide in from the side" and get your legs under the sink, to sit on it. If you were of "large proportions" or elderly, there is no way you could use this thing. That bathroom needs ripped out and redesigned. We would come back, and have stayed in the sister hotel as well in Beaulieu sur Mer, the Frisia, but not to that room.
