I needed a hotel for one night in Venice at the end of my trip. Ca Due Leoni was close to my previous hotel although it was a little difficult to find (slightly off the beaten path - but I blame google maps not the hotel). The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. He carried my bag up to my room as well as made sure I had the correct information to be able to catch my flight in the morning. He also gave me a map of the area and if it wasn't my last day I'm sure would have given me amazing recommendations of where to go and how to get around. Overall, good hotel and nice staff!

Quiet location and great staff.
Loved the location. Quiet area off of a side canal. Has a water taxi stop very close and 10 minute walk to Santa Lucia Train Station. The staff is ever so helpful and warm. Room smelled a bit musty. Not sure where that was coming from. Open windows helped. Outside a bit run down.

It's ok
We only stayed for one night. But it was surprisingly uncomfortable. The bed and pillows were really hard and the shower barely fit one slim person. On the upside, the water warmed up fast and the breakfast was pretty tasty. The neighborhood was quiet, but there were church bells that rang quite early.

The hotel was in a great location. It was quaint with a nice front desk staff and good breakfast outside in the courtyard. However, our three bed hotel room had bed bugs. We found evidence of many, and killed several full of blood while there. We ended up throwing out our suitcases and some cothing and other items to help ensure they were not brought home with us.

Pros and Cons
Not a horrible stay, but not the best either. First off, the positives: Service was fantastic. The receptionist was very helpful and went out of her way to make our stay more pleasant. The rooms had AC which was nice for the summer. The location was also convenient, as it was a quick 5-10 min. walk from the train station to the hotel. Also, a water taxi/vaporetto is just 2 minutes away and will take you to St. Mark's Square and some of the bigger sights. It was very quiet and we didn't hear the neighbors much at all. It also felt very secure. The price was decent too, considering hotel costs for Venice. The negatives: The place had smelled a little old and moldy. It smelled the strongest in the hallway, and faintly in the bedroom, which didn't bother us too much. My biggest complaint would be the comfort of the bed. The comforter was very thin, uncomfortable, and didn't provide any warmth. The bed felt a bit stiff as well.
