Crestfield Hotel, London
Another great stay at the Crestfield
This is the second time I've stayed at the Crestfield, and I'm more convinced than ever of what a good deal it is for the money. It's not the absolute cheapest, but the places in that area that are cheaper usually have some element that is pretty much unacceptable. The Crestfield has its little oddities, but nothing that, to me, hinders my stay. Everything is clean and seems new; beds are REALLY comfortable and there's a TV and coffee maker in the room. The staff is fantastic. Wifi is fast and robust. The bathroom I had this time was quite small, but perfectly suitable for me. My room was smaller than last time, but it wasn't an issue, and they were even able to get me in before check-in time, which I really appreciated because of how long my travel day was. If I wanted something that had no 'quirks', I'd pay double the rate and go to a chain hotel. Free breakfast is always great; good choices, healthy and delicious. Location simply could not be better for a tourist. There are a lot of choices in this area, but I feel like what you get when you stay at the Crestfield is worth what you spend.

Cozy and convenient
The place was clean and cozy. There is a beautiful little courtyard in the middle. The room was not large but I didn't expect it to be. We were on the ground floor, below street level, but had a window and there was a passage directly to the breakfast room. The breakfast was basic but good, with cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, hard boiled eggs, meat, and cheese. There was coffee, tea, milk, orange, and apple juice. They had toasters and a panini press which made great sandwiches that we took with us the morning we had to leave early. The room was quiet considering its close proximity to Kings Cross Staton, which was so convenient to get to. This was a great location for taking a hop-on-off bus or the train around town or out to Watford Jct for Harry Potter Studios.

This hotel is steps away from the Eurostar station and subway. Small but clean hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They even gave us a to go box breakfast for our 540 am train to Paris. Rooms was clean but small as expected in Europe

Lots of steps!
Even though the location is great for catching a train at St Pancrais , the absence of the elevator and a long winding narrow staircase makes it rather uncomfortable for people with luggage.
