Clean, Comfortable, Access to Everything
Well-kept, comfortable room in a convenient location. Not a big room and the stairs might be a difficult for some, but overall a good experience and I would stay at the Crestfield again.

If you enjoy taking cold showers during cold winter days when temperatures dip below -4 C... then by all means try staying at this fine little establishment. The lovely young lady at the front desk gets irritated every time we try to ask questions. Don't talk to her unless you want to receive eye rolls or get cut off. Overall the stay was mediocre for the price, if you don't mind sleeping to the sound of London tube trains. Have fun. Oh btw, to be objective, the breakfast was actually pretty nice. That's like the highlight of the stay for me, if that's helpful.

The room we got assigned to was in the back down in basement. Tea kettle with cookies to go was a great feature. Location was a big plus with King's Cross and St Pancreas was right next door. The stay was marred by loud guests.

Convenient, clean but room small and shower problem
Hotel was easy to find just minutes walk from Kings Cross and St. Pancras Station. Staff were friendly and helpful. My room for one person was very small. It was in the basement so no view or much daylight from window. There was a lot of noise I could hear from my room due to renovation work but this was halted when I complained. It was fairly quite otherwise which is what I requested but the walls seemed quite thin and I could hear others coming into and out of their rooms. The buffet breakfast included was reasonable The main problem I found was that the bathroom smelled of drains and when I showered in the morning the the water did not drain and filled up the whole bathroom including under the wash hand basin and toilet. By the time I left over an hour later the water still had not fully drained away. If I had not cut short my shower I think the water may have started to leak into the bedroom. Due to the wrong slope of the bathroom floor the water did not flow back to the shower outlet that itself must have been partially blocked. I reported the problem as I checked out. It's hard to believe that this fault had not been reported by earlier guests.
