Kastro Hotel, Heraklion
Super tourist hotel
Easy walkable tourist location! Great breakfast and a super comfortable room with excellent air conditioning for the hot summer. Great shower with awesome water pressure. Loved the fridge and hot water kettle. Fun little restaurants near by and the one across the street was super fun. Can’t go wrong with the Kastro

EXCEPTIONAL breakfast, ATTENTIVE staff, and VERY easy access within minutes to city promenade. A VERY CENTRAL hotel within proximity to the port.

Kastro Hotel, Heraklion
This is a disappointing hotel. Be aware.
This is one of those hotels with hidden fees, for example it charges for the safety without any reason. The toilet was broken, and the friedge was broken. Not all rooms have balcony, and we were the unfortunate couple to get it. Many other options, around, and we didnt go un high seasson, so no excuses accepted as a customer. Parking in Heraklion is a nightmare. Go to Rethimion, thats a beautiful city, or Chania. This hotel was the low point in our visit to Crete.

Best breakfast!
The Kastro Hotel was welcoming, easy to check into, and had one of the best breakfasts I had while in Greece.

2 night's stay in Heraklion
We had a good stay at the Kastro hotel recently on our first visit to Heraklion, Crete. We flew in quite late so the 24 hour front desk was helpful. Maria was the front desk person who checked us in, and she was very nice. Our room was clean and well appointed, bed was fresh and comfy, bathroom was clean and there was a safe in the closet (5 euros to use). Wi fi was consistent. Sound-proofing wasn't quite good as we could hear noise from the neighbors and in the halls. Breakfast had a variety of breads and cold cuts, eggs and sausages etc, that was pretty much the same daily but decent in flavor. Overall a good place for a short stay.
