Too tiny room and no elevators
Close to happening things in the central London but Too tiny of a room and no elevator on property if you have a family with little ones or who needs assistance to climb upstairs with luggage.

Disappointing stay at Regency House
My wife and I spent 7 nights at the Regency House at the end of September. This hotel is well located within walking distance of many of the London sites north of the Thames, and hundreds of restaurants within a mile radius. Our room on the patio side of the hotel was very quiet, which was probably not the case for those rooms facing Gower St. There was some creaking of people walking on the floor above us. The room itself was quite small, and poorly designed - for example an opening for a chair to serve as a desk which I could not get into because of a jut out of a wall behind the chair. The room was in need of a painting and did not look well kept. The shower was a reasonable size, but the sink (with no plug) was so small that one could not wash clothes in it, and above it had a shelf that made washing one’s face difficult. The front desk people (at least five rotated during our stay) were not helpful in general to our requests for help or advice. Finally, the English Breakfast included in the price was nothing special and we only bothered to dine there three mornings in total. All in all, in the future I would definitely look elsewhere on my next trip to London.

Nice, cozy hotel.
Excellent city center location and close to train stations and buses. The breakfast was good. There is a hair drier, microwave, refrigerator, and electric kettle (coffee, tea, sugar and cookies too!) available (that was awesome!) in the very small room. The towel warmer was a plus. There are no elevators (lifts), so you will need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. The room was not cold, the heater did not work. The WiFi and internet (my own) reception at the room was extremely poor (I was in a basement room).

It was a cute, quaint hotel. The staff was friendly. The beds were some of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in, and that bathroom is so tiny, if you aren't extremely thin and flexible, it may be difficult to use.

It was a nice hotel, great service and the area was very convenient. Near a bus stop and a metro line. The rooms were a little small, specially the shower but that's expected in europe. Aside from that it was lovely.
