Value stay
The hotel is older and a bit dated but clean and in an excellent location. For the cost, it’s a great deal.

We would do it again
They were kind in allowing us to leave our bags before check-in time. The rooms are small and the shared toilet and shower is a bit uncomfortable but we would do it again for the price.

Rather stay in a hostel
The facility definitely wasn't what I would have expected for a price of 50 GBP/night. The facility was clearly old. There was no elevator. The staff helped me carry my luggage upstairs, which was nice but do not book if you have a disability. Each floor shares 1 shower and 1 toilet (both extremely small). Really, the only good thing about this place was the breakfast. The cooks were very nice ladies and made me a full English Breakfast. The staff at the front desk were very nice and friendly. Personally, I would have rather stayed in a hostel which would have likely had better facilities and more areas to meet people (so definitely not for solo travelers). A hostel would've been more worth my money. The surrounding area is pretty much just neighborhoods, but it had a very convenient location as it was 1 block from the Underground and a bus stop.

Hardest Bed Ever
The bed wasn't actually made of concrete, but you wouldn't be blamed for checking. Seriously, I've never slept on a bed that hard. I've slept on uncarpeted floors that were softer. I may have injured myself. Add that to a pillow sized for Hobbits and an avalanche of noise from the neighboring rooms at 6:30 AM (seriously, it was dead silent before this, but suddenly everyone was loud talking in neighboring rooms with apparently cardboard walls at 6:30 in the morning) and it was not a restful sleep. On the positive side the shower was excellent, the room was cheap, and the distance from St Pancras was short. The gentleman at the check-in was very kind and they held our bags at the counter after check out, which we really appreciated. But oh, that bed...

No elevators
Didn't realize there are no elevators. Had to haul our luggage up the stairs.
