Very convenient and clean hotel. Breakfast is really good. Our room was tiny but perhaps normal for London(?). Room was warm but we had a portable air conditioner. Not sure if that is norm. WiFi doesn’t work in all rooms.

Good 6.0
Good if you're in a pinch.
3 adults and one child, we got a family room which was enough space for the 4 of us. Two double beds and a single. 2 TV's, it was pretty nice. The included breakfast was awesome but its a small room so there was a wait for some people. The bathroom has a frosted glass door where you can see everything. It was a bit awkward. The room had a portable air conditioner and a dehumidifier, on the first day the handyman asked to take the dehumidifier, but he never took it. My main issue is the cleanliness. They re-used the same dirty sheets every day. It would have been fine, but my son got sick and vomited on the sheets. We stripped the bed and left the sheets on the floor. When we got back, room service had already come by and they re-dressed the bed with a big vomit stain!! The room never got vacuumed either. The staff was nice. The lift was broken 3 out of 5 days. Overall it was okay for the price and location was close to Lancaster Gate and Paddington, so if you're in a pinch I say go for it. However, I would not stay here again.

Great Hotel near Paddington Station.
Brunel is a no-nonsense businessman's hotel, a couple of blocks from Paddington Station. Rooms have a small refrigerator, to store sandwiches and sodas. Proximity to Paddington Station also provided easy access to London Underground, buses and the Heathrow Express.

Poor 2.0
Basement Dwelling - Stay Clear
The room was so small (in the basement) it did not have a chair, desk or even a place to put luggage. The luggage went on the floor so you had about four feet of floor space to maneuver in. The ac was not working and was never fixed despite several requests. It was so humid we thought rain clouds might form in the room. Many tv channels just did not work (all bbc channels). No kidding - a hotel employee was dressed in a dirty hazmat suit during breakfast and was walking in and out of the eating area while guests had breakfast. I can’t make this up 😂. Skip this property or you will regret it. It should be advertised as a hostel with subterranean rooms. The area around the hotel was good though.

Poor 2.0
The Worst
Horrible experience. First of all, the elevator is so small and only 1 person can fit on it. We were on the 4th floor but the elevator only goes to the second floor then you have to walk the other two floors.
