Hotel Pension Andreas, Vienna

There was no ventilation in the tiny washroom, which was a bit unpleasant. The water for the shower was nice and strong. The entry way to the hotel from the street was dark and dusty which didn't give us a very good first impression. The elevator was appreciated, though ancient and tiny. The two men attending the desk during our stay were both very nice, which was reassuring. The room was basic. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. Overall, it was a bit of a 'cultural' experience.

Stayed one night in Vienna. The hotel is in building shared by other apartments. It was old and despite the description, there is NO air conditioning. That was evident as soon as we walked in. It was old and stuffy and the 'lobby' had a fan at full blast. When I asked about the a/c as advertised, the man said airconditioning means a fan. The room itself was fine, old, but we were able to open the windows wide and with the fan, made it bearable. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Our main issue was the lack of information and helpfulness of the staff. We were given information on parking and was told it was 15 euro/24 hours to park. We opted for the parking they suggested and when we left the next day at 9 am, having only parked since the afternoon the day before, we ended up paying 37 euro! Crazy! The man also said he double checked Expedia and Hotels.com and revised the description to show no a/c. It's been a week and it's still showing the hotel has a/c. For the money, we wouldn't stay here again.

Small but clean room, excellent for one night stay. I used my Orbucks and Orbitz coupon so I get good value for money, otherwise the price could be lower. Location is also very good. Breakfast not so bad. I had some problems with internet connection at first, but the receptionist helped me solving the problem.

Incredible location only a 10-15-minute walk to central Vienna and all the sights. The hotel itself is located inside an older building and you have to ring the outdoor intercom to be let in the first time and, when inside, navigate to the left side where the "pension" is located. Excellent breakfast served with hard-boiled eggs, bread, cheeses/sliced meat, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. The main downside is that the hotel front desk clerks, except for one, were unfriendly which was a disappointment. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

Looks odd from the outside as the hotel is only part of a larger building. But it's a wonderful little place - incredible quiet, very convenient to the metro, and a very nice breakfast included. They were happy to keep our luggage before check-in and after check-out so we could maximize our time. Only downside was slow WIFI. :)
