I love Aloft properties and have been staying with them for years. Unfortunately, this property seems to be working out the kinks and a work in progress.
The staff is amazing - friendly, client focused and supportive. My issue with the property is that it just doesn't seem to meet Aloft standards.
For example, my room had an HVAC system that was so loud I couldn't sleep. I reported this to the front desk, and they assured me they would look into it, but that they are aware of HVAC being an issue for many guests. I never heard back and probably only slept 5 hours over 3 nights due to HVAC.
I ordered oatmeal for breakfast, which is usually pretty good - this was a rather small portion (think single ice cream scoop) and bland. This Aloft should contact Aloft San Antonio for their recipe.
Lastly, something to note, there is no gym here - which for me is a huge issue. They do give you a pass to a gym that is a 10-minute walk. Kind of OK, unless you work late and want to do a late-night workout, or the weather is bad out.
As I said, I love the Aloft brand and this is a work in progress with what appears to be a new and up and coming team. The location is awesome, parking is great, amenities in general are great - but they need to evolve a bit.
