Quiet, private, cozy hotel.
We were pleased because we felt like we were in an authentic Italian hotel and it had a nice balcony too. The young man was very resourceful and helped us with the map, how to get around the area and even gave us Easter cakes! Excellent customer service, generous!! It was a private quiet hotel, felt like a family home.

Great Place to Stay in Florence.
This is a great place to stay in Florence. The only problem might be that it is a fair trek from the train station but I was told that if you take the tram from the train station it is only two stops so look at that if you are arriving by train. Otherwise take a taxi the first time and get familiar with area once you get there. After that it is an acceptable walking distance to most of Florence. The view from the suite we were in was fabulous seeing all of Florence from the top floor of the building.

Do NOT check in after 7:00pm
My wife and I decided, last minute, to stay in Florence for the evening instead of returning to Rimini after a long day of sightseeing. We sat in a lovely pizzeria (Gusta Pizza) and used my iphone to visit hotels.com to try to find a last minute option. We found Residenza Giulia and one other - choose Giulia because they were comparable and it was less expensive. Upon arriving at the location and buzzing in for the attendant - we were immediately chastised for checking in late and then held hostage for an extra 20 Euro if we wanted to be let into our room (which I had already placed a credit card for). He came, and then further lectured us on 'following the rules' of a bed and breakfast. Our argument became very contentious and he was plain nasty. The room was fine and the stay was pleasant otherwise. *** I understand that we should have come before 7:00pm and that we bear some of the blame, but he was out of line. I have a piece of advice for Residenza Giulia - if you do not plan on offering U.S. style customer service, please do not place yourself on a U.S. hotel booking website.
