About Hotel du Parc, Paris

Small hotel with breakfast buffet steps from Montparnasse

5 minutes to the metro

Situated between Montparnasse Tower and Montparnasse Cemetery, Hotel du Parc is less than 5 minutes on foot from the closest metro stop at Edgar Quinet. From Gaîté Metro Station, 5 minutes' walk away, you're just 6 stops from the famous Champs-Elysées shopping boulevard.

Catacombs: 15 minutes

A 15-minute walk away are the famous Catacombs of Paris, a series of underground caverns full of human bones that have been a tourist attraction since the early 19th century. The Musée du Montparnasse, 10 minutes' walk away, tells the history of this one-time artists' quarter.

Daily buffet breakfast

The buffet breakfast includes pastries, coffee, and juice, and can be enjoyed in the hotel's bright, modern dining room or in the privacy of your own room. A nearby garage makes it easy to keep your car close at hand, and guests praise the friendly staff.

WiFi, satellite TV

The hotel's simple, comfortable rooms are decorated in shades of white, gold, and chocolate brown and offer WiFi. Other amenities include flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, safes, and double-glazed windows for a good night's sleep.

Functional, good value hotel
Hotel keepers were friendly. Room was small, but average size for Paris and good value for money. Everything in the room was functional and met basic needs. You will have to walk up one flight of stairs to get to the lobby, but then there is an elevator. Hotel is easy walk to Mont Parnasse train station, metro lines and plenty of restraunts and grocery store nearby.

This is the worst experience I have ever had from a hotel stay. Please do not stay in this hotel. Most unfriendly, unclean and rude service. When you work in the common area the person in the reception ask you to leave saying need to arrange breakfasts at 8.30 PM in the night. Rooms are small you don't get the what you see in the photos. You have to climb 2 stories with your heavy baggage to reach the reception and from there, there is a tiny old lift to the most disgusting rooms. Extremely disappointed with the hotels.com as well as they cannot handle the customers issues. Will never use this hotel or hotels.com in the future.

Be aware that lift/elevator to rooms is accessible only from the reception area but in order to get to the reception, you have to go up 2 flights of winding, narrow staircase so if you have big or heavy luggages, you have to carry them up yourself. I feel that it is misrepresentation to say that this hotel has a lift if you have to haul your luggages before you can even get to the reception and the actual lift itself.

The room was VERY small but neat and clean - the bathroom as well. The staff was charming and helpful. The A/C unit must be on a timer because it kept shutting off after about an hour. Breakfast was good and the common area is quite nice, overlooking the park. We would return!
