City Hotel Amsterdam, Amsterdam
Excellent location/comfortable bed
Very easily accessible from the train station. A small room but the most comfortable bed I’ve had anywhere in Europe. It was a short walk or Uber to every place you want to go. Would definitely stay here again!

A good place to stay to hang out in Amsterdam
The hotel was great and accommodated all of the basic needs (plus slippers). My room was very quaint and quiet. The only less positive thing was every day at 10am my room would smell like cigarette smoke. The location is close to Amsterdam Centraal. Easy walk to restaurants, coffee shops, restaurants, and the red light district. The staff was great. They told me how to find cheap tickets to a canal tour. There was a woman there that makes delicious cappuccinos. Oh, and the breakfast was ample. Continental style with meats, cheese and hard boiled eggs. In the morning, they would bake the rolls/bread so it smelled amazing. Waking up to that is heavenly.

it is a very nice hotel, friendly staff, there are two things though, very low ceilings, I had to stoop in the hallway to my room on the second floor and there were ceiling beams in the room and the bathroom doorway were so low that I banged my head on it several times. The other thing was the mattress on my bed kept sliding on the platform and would end up hanging about a foot off of it, which they could correct easily.

Amsterdam's best kept secret
Totally amazing 16th century style hotel. Friendly staff, helpful & knowledgeable.

Room was clean and had comfortable beds; however, you had to practically climb over the main floor beds to access the rest of the room. The loft ceiling was low so we had to put the short guy up there. Bathroom was nice and new but awkwardly laid out. Climb up to third floor with luggage on steep and short risers was a real challenge! But we don't shy away for that. It just wasn't worth what we paid.
