Beware!
Although the Hotels.com site lists a total price, be aware that you will be charged an extra "city tax" at the hotel (@6.25% of total cost). That makes the price more inexpensive than expected and perhaps not worth it. The location is pretty good. Not much in the way of restaurants in the vicinity but it is a short walk to the Rijksmuseum and only a bit further to the Van Gogh. However, the hotel is unpleasant. The front desk staff are rude. Accommodations are VERY small. We booked two rooms, with twin beds, for a family of four. Rooms vary in size from small to so tiny it is hard to move around. The first night, two of us were placed on the third floor and the other two were led through an unfinished hallway downstairs and put in a basement room. Street noise was insanely loud; drinking glasses in the room were filthy. The next day, we were moved to a third floor room next to the rest of the family. This room was so tiny that it was essentially impossible to walk between the twin beds. Bathroom was tiny with not even a shelf for toiletries. Room fan was broken.

Amterdaaaaaaam !!!
Coming to Amsterdam was a part of a surprise birthday and Christmas gift for my mom. This was 1 of 4 hotels I needed to book so I was a little skeptical at the location since it is in the middle of the museum district. I will say that my mom and I were both pleasantly surprised not only at the hotel and its design but also its very helpful staff. It is very conveniently located near the 2 and 12 metro tram as well as walking distance to many other lines. The hotel's décor is modern chic and rustic all wrapped up in one. Breakfast I was simple, yet fuilling. With a variety of bread, meat, fruit, cereal, coffee, and tea options they did not disappoint. My mom even needed a dairy free option for her coffee and they were more than helpful to provide her with a soy option. I really appreciate the help of the helpful gentleman in glasses (03.13.19 @ around 1:20) who helped check us in and gave us great I sight on what to do in the area. Also since we arrived earlier than ours room was ready, we were able to buy tickets for the Rijksmuseum through the hotel, to kill time. We booked a double which was smaller, by average hotel standards but I could tell that the quality was not comprised what so ever. The beds were extremely comfortable and shampoo, body wash ,and lotion were provided. Narrow stairs but hey that is Amsterdam architecture for ya, but yes there IS a lift for those who need it. Overall I will be booking with this chain again. 9.5!

Fabulous location! Easy walking distance to museums and concert hall. Funky, offbeat hotel with your own little basketball goal and ball in each room. Rooms are tiny, with not a lot of storage space, but are well organized and comfortable. Nice bar with occasional live music downstairs.
