Duke Of Leinster Hotel is a great hotel
The hotel was perfect in every way. Fabulous big breakfast in real china! Central location. Lots of eateries and grocery stores within a 5 minute walk. Close to underground. Staff are spectacular! Very friendly, welcoming and helpful. One complaint is the Wifi. It would cut off all the time.

Fair 4.0
The rooms floor was slanted, almost like you can roll down it. the images make the room seem more updated but the room is out dated, small, and uncomfortable. The staff was very nice so that was a good point to the hotel.

Slanted room, complimentary boogers
The location of this hotel is Within walking distance to major thoroughfares and the underground. It is definitely an old hotel. The Room and we stayed in had a floor that slanted downhill, but the build is 100+ yrs old. The tiny 2 person elevator made us laugh but it got us to where we needed to go. The beds were quite comfortable and staff took care of cleaning the beds only but not other details. We found boogers and all kinds of things along the walls that previous renters left behind in both the bedroom and bathroom. The staff was quite nice and helpful, the breakfast was adequate and filling. For the cost of they room, I expected more. This hotel could definitely use an update.

All negative reviews are true
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The first room my sister and I were given was on the sixth floor, which is basically the attic and since London was going through a heat wave, our room was roasting, and with no AC. The size of the room was only a couple feet bigger than the bed, which was also too small for 2 people to comfortably sleep in. And it looked nothing like the pictures online. I took the stairs down to reception, since the lift felt like it was going to break on the way up to our room; I asked for a new room and was told I could get a new one in the morning since they were booked for the night. However, in the morning they had no record of my request to change rooms. The lady working said we could still get a new room, but it was not one of their better rooms; I don’t know why she would tell a customer that. Our second room looked more like the pictures online, but the bathroom had not been remodeled; it worked fine but looked run-down. The room was just large enough to open our suitcases in it if we didn’t want to be able to step anywhere on the floor. There was still no AC, but the heat was more manageable on the third floor. We also tried to only be in the room to shower and sleep. The breakfast buffet was above average and the location of the hotel was great; however, there’s lots of hotels in the area that would be better to stay at. Save your money and don’t stay here!!
