Great location!
Excellent, small & inexpensive hotel conveniently located near museums and underground. Very comfortable.

Up ALL night!! :-(
Horrible.....throughout the night there was this loud grinding noise that may have been connected to heating (?) or plumbing (?) that woke us up as it made its round through the walls every 15 minutes. We did not sleep at all one night, but gratefully were leaving for Edinburgh. It through us off our entire trip and couldn't get jet-lag-free for the whole week, thanks to those two nights of misery. I do NOT recommend the place. The bathrooms are so tiny and ill-configured that you literally hit your head on the sink trying to use the toilet! The staff was ok, but this is a small, much older building and has not been configured well in design for a hotel. It was fairly expensive, for what little is given, and for twenty pounds more a night we could have stayed at the tony, up-market Millenium Gloucester, which is a block away. Wish I had! Lesson learned.

Nice weekend in the city.
Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk also sells theatre tickets. I used the take out delivery service for a late night dinner. the options were varied and the service was fast. The location is walking distance to the Gloucester Underground stop.

The room had no insulation, therefore you could feel the cold coming though the windows. The blankets weren't very warm either and the heating didn't make a difference, I woke up with a hoarse troat! Although they say it is a new hotel, the furniture was so chipped it looked third hand. I had to check out the next day .
