GREAT location, decent, tiny rooms.
Service: We were checked in by a lady at the front desk on the 1st floor (the hotel is spread over 2 floors). She was extremely helpful in answering our questions. We had a bit of trouble with the wi-fi but she helped us out pretty quickly. Location: Great location! It's a short walk to most of the popular areas- Puerta de Sol, Plaza Espana, San Miguel market etc. It is on a side/ quiet street though. Rooms: The room was definitely on the smaller side- probably to be expected in a city like Madrid. If you have a decent amount of luggage, maybe look for a bigger room- we ended up stepping over our suitcases to get anywhere. Also, the bed we got was definitely not a Queen- felt more like a Full size and creaked everytime you turned which was not comfortable. Bathrooms: Decent, clean bathrooms. Shower was not very good. Overall, decent value for money. A more comfortable bed would have made my stay!

Good Location with Some Extra Features
Very noisy with paper thin walls. The sounds of sex ring all hours day and night. Some people may enjoy this, some not. Wonderful location but stay some place else.

Great location on budget
Nothing bits this hotel location: right behind T-B and 5 min walk to Prado museums. Walking distance to Atocha and EMT24 bus to the airport. Quiet street, a lot of options to eat nearby. Initial access for check-in is not easy. Room just good enough to sleep and nothing else. Tiny bathroom.

It was soso. They did not change the sheets or the towels and the soap they put in is liquid and serves as a shampoo.

3 girls from California
The stay at this Hostel was pleasant although we ended up staying up stairs at another named Hostel because something went wrong with the reservation, we did not stay at the Oporto but they were run by the same people. Any problems we had were fixed immediately and we did have one or two. We had a room for three, private bathroom was very small but we had a bathroom with a tub shower combo so no complaint. Just want to advise there is no elevator in this Hostel so be prepared to carry your bags up stairs although the Mr. at the desk was very, very nice about helping the girls with luggage. Very close to everything in the "downtown" area if you will. Quite Hostel would stay there again and would recommend it as well. The hostal was very close to Government buildings so that was interesting. Stayed 5 nights While visiting the lovely city of Madrid.
