I woke up to a construction worker redoing the foors outside my door which sounded like he was going to break into my room. I was on a work trip and exhausted and it was completely loud and distracting. No phone charging stations in room, toiletries had been opened in the bathroom and not removed my housekeeping- Probably wouldn’t say again-

Miniscule rooms
Room was tiny. No drawers for clothing and not enough space in room to leave our suitcases open. Room did not overlook city, as promised, it overlooked an air shaft. It was, however, clean and well locared

Comme ci, comme ça
The hotel was just average, even for a city where my expectations are not high to begin with. First the good things: The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean, although the bathroom was quite worn. It was a better-than-average size for a Parisian hotel bath, though. The water was hot and the pressure good. And they have A/C, which is unusual. It was in a terrific location for restaurants, shopping, nightlife, metro and sightseeing- Odeon- St-Germain des Prés. The not so good: Our “twin” room was so small that the twin beds almost filled the space- if you wanted to separate them even by a few inches, you a) could not get out the room door, and/or b) could not get into the bathroom. The stairway down to the ground floor was steep, curved, and the treads very narrow. Our room door opened into the hall, but if the people next door also came out, it caused an awkward and precarious situation at the top of the stairs. It was noisy—you could hear people next door. I did not see any other rooms, and it is possible that other rooms, not “twin” rooms, might be a lot nicer. I can’t comment on the breakfast, which cost extra. I guess you have to prioritize what you are looking for. Many Parisian hotel rooms are small and a bit run down.
